Monsterpocalypse NOW! - Release Event

The monsters have been among us for a bit now, but NOW they've brought friends!

Celebrating the release of Monsterpocalypse Series 4 (Monsterpocalypse NOW!) Armored Gopher Games is having a double-elimination tournament, with prizes going to the top three finishers!

Prizes:

  • 1st Place - Mega King Kondo + 1 MonPoc NOW! Unit Booster + 1 MonPoc NOW! Monster Booster
  • 2nd Place - 1 MonPoc NOW! Unit Booster + 1 MonPoc NOW! Monster Booster
  • 3rd Place - 1 MonPoc NOW! Unit or Monster Booster + 1 MonPoc I CHOMP NY Unit or Monster Booster

Entry Fee: $15.00

Format: Standard Force Lists using 1 monster pair (alpha and hyper forms), 2–12 buildings, and 4–15 units. When players roll for first turn, the player who loses the roll chooses whether the players will use his map or his opponent’s map.

After the first round, winners will pair off and play each other, while losers from the first round will do the same. When a player loses two matches in the event, he/she is eliminated from contention.

For this event to happen, we need a minimum of four players. So come on out and get yer buildin'-smashin' on!

Well, Topps announced today that Wizkids is dead, effective immediately...  Shadowrun and Batttletech licenses are apparently OK, and Heroclix might continue, but...

Monsterpocalypse

Is anyone else as psyched about Monsterpocalypse as I am?

At first I thought the idea was kind of silly, but having checked their website periodically (http://monsterpocalypsegame.com) over the past couple months, I can’t help but get excited (it is Privateer Press, after all).

It’s supposed to release this fall. Was anyone else planning on playing? Is there anything special planned for its release?

I’m leaning towards the “Martian Menace” faction based on looks alone…
