Malifaux anyone?

Has anyone looked at or tried Malifaux from Wyrd Miniatures?

The models look really nice.  I'm wondering if anyone has tried the game, or is interested in trying out the game.  Supposedly, it's very scalable and you can play anything from 4-6 figs on up.

Malifaux

I have been looking about getting this line into the store for a bit now. I have one distributor that carries it currently.

I've heard good things about it and another game called, I think, "Uncharted Seas".

My biggest reservation right now is that we have two minis lines that we are just now being able to keep up on (40K and Warmachine/Hordes), and bringing in a third (or forth) line is something we have to weigh very carefully.

I will look hard at here in the next week. I might just bring in Malfaux (and.or Uncharted Seas) in time for Winter War... No guarentees, though.

From what I understand

From what I understand Uncharted Seas is a pretty good game. All of the guys I know in the Manteno/Paletine area bought into it last year at Winter War, and some guys over in the Peoria area ran it at the CITW meeting this past weekend.

I don't know much about Malifx. The figures look interesting, but seem to be pricey. It seems to be another of those "dark & grim" settings, which I am getting my fill of.

:-)  Yes, none of the

:-)  Yes, none of the (current?) factions really seem to jump out for me as one I'd play...  Only thing really keeping me from getting into the game...

Fun

It was a fun game it has a good following out here and it has some very nice figs. some of the lists are broken but that is every game. All in all if you are looking for a skirmish game it is a very good game to play. Alos if you are looking for good games on teh skirmish or higher level check out these.

Lord of the Rings- this is quickly becoming the defacto game for many of the gamers I play with, the skirmish rules are good. It reminds me of the early dogs of war days when you could leap willy nilly to your death off of a hill, and yes it happend again in this game. The seige rules and rules for general play are nice and GW brok from its normal you go-I go mentality for this one. And the seige rules are very nice as well. This also uses the same minis as War of the Ring so you can do epic battles as well.

Uncharted seas. I haven't played it but it is popular in certain stores and certain groups.

Uncharted seas space game. I don't remember the name but some of the guys have started to rave about this so I am looking into picking up an army. It uses the same rulse as uncharted seas so it should be good.

Warmachine mkII- I thought I would hate this game due to the LOS rules and such but I think they pulled it off better than I expected and we are starting up a league in the area.

Infinity- If you can stand anime then this is a solid game that you can get the rules for for free online. Very good mechanics for acting and reacting to your opponent. Ask Paul chaple about this since he has played it as well.

Anima tactics- good game well supported cheap to get into, if you can stand anime characters.

Arena Deathmatch- Teh figures for this game are amazing and you only need one or two to play. You basically are gladiators fighting it out for the crowed. This game is alittle more complex than some like but that adds level of detail for those of you that like that. Even the crowds reactions come into play.
