Privateer Press

What point level do you think is the most fun to play?

Quick question for the group: What point level do you find the most fun to play? Now, I’ve only played 500 and 750 games (350 in demos only). The 500 point battles are fun, and fairly quick, at least when I play it  :-) … The 750 level allows for more options, at least for my main force :-), at the least with my Circle, I can at least cover more of the field with fur at 750. I have yet to actually play a 1000+ point game, they look fun, but also the big “bog down” potential there. I have to admit I really like the 750 point games better, but mostly because I can field a more balanced force and hopefully cover up a few weaknesses in my overall force, rather than just fielding a “rock”, hoping I don’t see many “paper” forces…

That being said, I’d like to get in a 1000 point game sometime :-)

Monsterpocalypse

Is anyone else as psyched about Monsterpocalypse as I am?

At first I thought the idea was kind of silly, but having checked their website periodically (http://monsterpocalypsegame.com) over the past couple months, I can’t help but get excited (it is Privateer Press, after all).

It’s supposed to release this fall. Was anyone else planning on playing? Is there anything special planned for its release?

I’m leaning towards the “Martian Menace” faction based on looks alone…

Summer Rampage: Week 2

mikeb's picture

It seems that a lot of the territories have started to level out with nations retaking most of their lands. Cygnar is still struggling to take Western Cygnar, and Khador is fighting a four front war against Everblight in the north, Cryx in the west, everyone in Ord, and everyone in Free Llael. Current map: http://rampage.privateerpress.com/rules/map/. Does anyone have interest on playing on Saturday, August 9 to get in some additional league games? If there are at least 4 people interested, I'll clear it with Squirl and Dave to play at noon.
