Heads up on anyone else getting Epic Kaya...

pchappel's picture
Just a bit of a heads up to be careful when assembling the Epic Kaya...  Her right hand is attached to what looks like it is just part of the random flash on the figure.  It is also rather a bit skeletal or deformed looking, though perhaps that is just the one I got :)  Fortunately I was cleaning the mini and realized the hand was actually part of that before getting rid of it...

Legends reactions

mikeb's picture
Waiting for a tournament to start and thought I'd post some reactions to legends. First - character jacks rock. They do better with their prefered Warcaster. They also have a special ability that costs a focus. For Drago, he gets to move 2" after destroying a model. Oh, he also picked up a couple Executioner Axes from desrtroyed Destroyers after a battle. Second - Warcaster attachments. Khador gets a guard dog. Protectorate gets an assistant priest. Third - The fluff. There are some big events, and some don't quite go like people thought they might.

Summer Rampage: Week 2.5

mikeb's picture

Tim, Ann, Brad, and I played tonight to get in a couple games. It looks
like I misreported Ann's and my first game in the first week as 500
points instead of 750 points. Since I think the merits are going to be
calculated kind of automatically, I am going to only give myself 3
points (instead of 5) for that week. Here are the new standings.

3 wins, 9 points
Ann, Mike

2 wins, 8 points
Dave, Paul

2 wins 6 points
Dennis, Neal

1 win, 3 points
Brad

0 wins
Tim

Since I played tonight, I probably shouldn't play on Saturday to avoid
Spouse's Fury (not unlike Menoth's fiery rage), but I should at least
be able to get people started if they want to try to get a game in. I
know Dennis could do earlier in the day, and Tim could do 4pm. Anyone
else?

The Trollkin Kilt Lifter is a promotional model that Privateer Press is selling starting at GenCon. It will sell for $15 from them at their booth or on their store starting August 18. If you'd like it ninja shopped, let me know before the 12th and get me your money.

What point level do you think is the most fun to play?

pchappel's picture
Quick question for the group: What point level do you find the most fun to play? Now, I’ve only played 500 and 750 games (350 in demos only). The 500 point battles are fun, and fairly quick, at least when I play it  :-) … The 750 level allows for more options, at least for my main force :-), at the least with my Circle, I can at least cover more of the field with fur at 750. I have yet to actually play a 1000+ point game, they look fun, but also the big “bog down” potential there. I have to admit I really like the 750 point games better, but mostly because I can field a more balanced force and hopefully cover up a few weaknesses in my overall force, rather than just fielding a “rock”, hoping I don’t see many “paper” forces…

That being said, I’d like to get in a 1000 point game sometime :-)
