1000 POINT FLOATING TEAM LEAGUE
Games should be played at the 2,000 point level, with standard missions and deployment from the rulebook. Each side should consist of two players playing on a team each bringing a legal 1,000 point list. - The primary detachment of the two players will count as battle brother allies (except that independent characters can't join the other player's units). - The allied detachments of the two players will count as allies of convenience towards either detachment of the other player. - Both players' armies are considered a single army for the purposes of the limit of units that can start the game in reserves. - Both players may bring the same special character in their army, but any bonuses (such as reducing opponent's reserve rolls or giving a bonus to see which team goes first) do not stack. The same is true of any model that can only be brought once for any other reason, or explicitly does not stack if there are more than one in a single army (like Imperial Guard Astropaths, for example).
Players are not required to have the same team mate from week to week. - If a player is unable to find a partner (or doesn't want to play with one), they may opt to field a single 2,000 point force as if they were two players (so, double FOC, primary detachments as battle brothers, etc.).
Players may record one game per week for points. Players on a team that won a game gain 3 points, 2 for a draw, and 1 for a loss (including games at the tournament and apocalypse). Note that both players score points, so both players would gain two points for a draw, rather than two points being assigned to the team, and each player getting one.
